On June 11, 2009, leaders of educational, cultural, and socially-driven organizations, along with friends and collaborators of Sheepless Co, gathered at Green Spaces in Brooklyn, NY, to celebrate the inauguration of the new business.

With the help of our friends at Brooklyn screen printing shop Post Expose, guests had their favorite second-hand tee-shirts (and in one case, a tote bag) custom emblazoned with the Sheepless icon, and have been displaying their commitment to forging their own path by wearing them while working on their own amazing projects.

Housing Works is the nation's largest community-based AIDS service organization, providing health care, legal support, and housing for New York City's homeless and HIV/AIDS populations. Sprung from the roots of ACT UP, the agency is also recognized as a pioneer in social enterprise, creating over $12 million in revenue annually from seven thrift shops, a bookstore, catering operations, work training at their print shop, and others.

CONSUME®EVOLUTION looks at the effects mass-marketing and globalization have on local industry, our buying habits, and our culture – highlighting the importance of our awareness and the immediacy of making personal critical choices.
